Goodbye Pwllheli

So, tomorrow is officially the first day of our journey. We are heading off from the brilliant Pwllheli marina and going a few miles across Tremadog Bay to Pensarn Harbour. Not very far in the grand scheme of things! However it will give Doris a nice little outing before we make her go all the way to Falmouth later in the week.

I will confess to being a tad apprehensive about the next stage of the voyage and am very glad that we will have some extra top notch crew in the form of Mr Walter Snr and Simon H. Hopefully this will help prevent any marital discord! It has been quite a challenging few days with Cy desperately trying to finish the list of essential jobs (many of which have now been reclassified as desirable rather than essential). The combination of bad weather, living together in a confined space and the pressure of getting stuff finished has been quite interesting at times.

I’ve learnt some new skills, whipping rope and carpet fitting for example. There was some trepidation when I searched online for ‘how to whip rope’ but YouTube was able to oblige.

So, we decided to honour the occasion of our last night in Pwllheli with beer and chips. Perfect.

And here’s a couple of pics of the marina I took on the way to procure chips.
